About Burlington County Community Action Program (BCCAP)

Burlington County Community Action Program (BCCAP) is a private, non-profit social service agency established in 1965 to serve the low-income population of Burlington County. BCCAP is governed by a 21-member Board of Trustees, including one-third representation from the private sector, one-third from elected public officials, and one-third from the low-income population.

Our Program is a U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program. The Program does not have rental property. The Program works strictly from a Waiting List. Eligible Applicants are issued a Voucher and they search for an approvable unit within the County. Once they have located a unit that suits their needs, they submit required paperwork for that unit. The unit information is reviewed for approval.

The Burlington County Board of Social Services Public Housing Agency is not currently accepting applications for Section 8 Program. The Program opened its waiting list in August 2007 and over 2,000+ applications were submitted. The Program must service everyone on the 2007 Waiting List before applications can again be taken. We are unable to project when applications will again be taken.

Applications are not available until the Program opens for application taking. When applications are taken the Application/Announcement will be published in the local newspaper and human service agencies throughout the County will have the information to pass out.
